Recipe Tips

  • Make sure to use cold, cooked rice for this dish. Warm or freshly cooked rice will become mushy when stir-fried.
  • Stir-fry each ingredient separately before adding them to the rice. This will ensure that each ingredient is cooked evenly and retains its texture and flavor.
  • Use a high-heat oil such as vegetable, canola, or peanut oil for stir-frying.
  • Do not overcook the vegetables. They should be crisp-tender and still retain their bright colors.
  • Adjust the seasoning to your liking. You can add more or less soy sauce and sugar depending on your taste preferences.

Enjoy your delicious and aromatic basil fried rice!
