Equipment

  • Small mixing bowl

Method

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Heat the wok or skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tbsp of sesame oil.
  3. Add beef or chicken and garlic, and cook until browned.
  4. Add soy sauce and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Remove the meat from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Add another tablespoon of sesame oil to the skillet and add the vegetables.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste and cook until the vegetables are tender.
  8. In a small mixing bowl, combine gochujang, sugar, and sesame seeds.
  9. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables.
  10. Add the cooked meat and the gochujang mixture to the skillet and mix well.
  11. Fry an egg and place it on top of each serving.

Notes

This recipe can be customized with your favorite vegetables and protein. You can also adjust the spiciness by adding more or less gochujang.
