- 1 tablespoon of rose water (optional)

- A wooden spoon

Method
- Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it for 30 minutes in cold water.
- Drain the water and set the rice aside.
- In a large pot, heat the milk over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
- Add the rice and lower the heat to medium-low.
- Simmer the rice and milk for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is cooked and the mixture has thickened.
- Add the sugar and cardamom powder to the pot and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Crush the saffron threads with your fingers and add them to a small bowl with 1 tablespoon of hot milk. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Add the saffron milk to the pot and stir well.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in the chopped nuts and rose water (if using).
- Allow the pudding to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- If the pudding is too thick, add a little more milk to adjust the consistency.
- You can also add raisins or other dried fruits to the pudding for added flavor.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
